An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 9 months maternity leave cover for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our innovative, adult mental health team which is integrated into Lancashire's Family Safeguarding Service. We are looking for an organised, compassionate, and reflective individual who is passionate about working collaboratively with families to safeguard children. The role involves providing a high level of expertise, clinical leadership and clinical governance across our pan Lancashire family safeguarding service, and taking clinical leadership responsibility in the co-ordination and implementation of psychological care and ensuring the systematic provision of high quality psychological and psychologically informed interventions. The service philosophy is underpinned by a strengths based, motivational interviewing approach, with services compliant with NICE guidance and recognition of the relational aspects of assessment and therapy.

The service is funded by Lancashire County Council to provide specialist assessment and treatment for parents of children open to the Family Safeguarding Service who have identified mental health difficulties impacting their ability to safeguard their children. The integrated service is positioned at the primary care level, offering preventative early intervention with the aim of keeping families together when it is safe to do so.

• Provide psychological assessment, consultation and intervention to parents/partners open to the Family Saf safeguarding Service.
• Develop, clinically lead and manage the service; provide line management and clinical supervision to 8a and 8b Clinical Psychologists.
• Oversee the evaluation of the psychological therapy service and attend management meetings, team meetings, and group supervision as needed.
• Lead wider service development within the Family Safeguarding Service and deliver training to disseminate psychological skills and knowledge.
• Ensure the service integrates with Social Care colleagues including Social Workers, Domestic Abuse Practitioners, Substance Misuse Practitioners and Probation to provide high quality safe and effective care for service users.

• Consultant Clinical Psychologist with willingness to provide clinical leadership and governance across the service.
• Ability to provide psychological care that aligns with NICE guidance and emphasises relational aspects of assessment and therapy.
• Experience in developing and evaluating psychological services and in delivering training and supervision.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams including social care and partner agencies.
