Job summary

Job description
Assistant Psychologist – 3 x posts

We are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated psychology graduates keen to gain experience to progress towards clinical psychology training. All posts are focused on supporting data collection processes for Children and Young Peoples IAPT (CYP‑IAPT), including clinical outcome monitoring and service‑user satisfaction. The primary task is to support data collection, with opportunities to undertake clinical work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.

  • Post 1 – Bexley CAMHS, Park Crescent, Erith (DA8 3EE)
    Responsibilities: Support assessments, consultations and direct therapeutic work with children and young people with complex mental health difficulties. Assist in clinical administration, KPI collection and audit/research projects.
    Qualifications: Psychology graduate, keen interest in working with CYP, excellent communication skills, basic IT proficiency. Experience with CYP‑IAPT data collection a plus.
  • Post 2 – Greenwich CAMHS, Woolwich Centre & Highpoint House
    Responsibilities: Work with Early Intervention in Schools Team (EIT) and Integrated Clinical Team (ICT) to deliver therapeutic treatments, training to schools and brief evidence‑based interventions. Support clinical staff in outcome monitoring and audit projects.
    Qualifications: Psychology graduate, experience with behaviour/emotional well‑being or vulnerable CYP, strong relational and organisational skills. Knowledge of SPSS and Excel desirable.
  • Post 3 – DBT Team, Oxleas CAMHS (Highpoint House & Stepping Stones)
    Responsibilities: Assist in clinical admin, KPI collection and development of audit/research projects. Deliver weekly DBT skills group for young people aged 13‑17 and parents/carers, and support assessments under supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
    Qualifications: Psychology graduate, strong interest in working with self‑harm/suicidal behaviour in a DBT service, excellent communication skills and basic IT proficiency.

Essential skills: Good communication, liaison and support for clinical staff; interest in children and young people (CYP). Knowledge of Excel and SPSS desirable.
