A leading healthcare organization in Scotland seeks a Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for a fixed-term position until March 2028 at University Hospital Crosshouse. This role requires delivering specialized psychological services to health and social care professionals, enhancing the overall healthcare delivery. Candidates must possess a Doctoral degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and HCPC registration. A UK driving license is also essential, and this position has a workload of 18.5 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologis t based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Services are delivered to the population directly through specialist therapeutic intervention for staff requiring our service from our health and social care workforce in Ayrshire & Arran. Psychological Services provide expert advice, consultancy, training and supervision in order to develop the psychological skills of other health and non-health professionals. It also aims to enhance the delivery of psychological care across the whole healthcare system through formal contribution at programme board and strategic levels.
Applicants should be qualified with a post graduate Doctorate degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and a Honours degree in Psychology (minimum upper 2nd class). The applicant must be HCPC registered as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist, or a Counselling Psychologist. Trainee Clinical Psychologists would not be expected to be HCPC registered at the point of applying for the post but would need to have attained registration before they would be eligible to commence the post.
18.5 hours per week
A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
