The post holder will support the delivery of care in line with New Models of Care, meeting London-wide service standards for Prison Healthcare.

They will assist the therapies team in providing integrated triage, assessment, and intervention for individuals with mental health issues in prison settings, working autonomously within professional guidelines.

The role includes delivering specialist psychological assessments and therapies, advising colleagues on psychological care, supervising unqualified staff, and supporting service development through research.

• Doctoral level training in clinical, counselling, forensic psychology OR UKCP accredited psychotherapist
• Experience in forensic settings or prisons, in a B7 role or as a trainee
• Experience in psychological assessment and treatment across various settings
• Experience working with diverse client groups and presenting problems
• Experience in teaching, training, and supervision
• Strong communication skills for complex and sensitive information
• Consultation skills for professional and non-professional groups
• Ability to work independently and with colleagues
• Creativity and self-reflection in practice
• Ability to manage high distress levels with clients and colleagues
