Here at the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) you will join an innovative, forward thinking team with the collective objective of providing first class rehabilitation to our patients.
The Psychological Health team at the NRC undertakes highly specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention, with patients with musculoskeletal, spinal and/or brain injury. Whilst you will work with the whole range of conditions, it is hoped that you will develop a special interest in musculoskeletal injury, and be at the forefront in developing this new specialism in Psychology at Nottingham.
This post is entirely based at the NRC, but organisationally it sits within the Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This means that there are excellent opportunities for professional support, CPD and networking.

Your will provide highly specialist Clinical Psychology assessment, intervention and advice, working directly with patients and their families. You will also work indirectly, providing advice to other NRC staff in order to meet the psychological needs of patients.
You will contribute to the teaching and training of NRC staff in order to develop their skills and knowledge, in meeting psychological need.
You will provide direction and clinical supervision to Assistant Psychologists within the team, and may be the primary supervisor for a trainee Clinical Psychologist on placement with us.
You will contribute to the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of the service.
You will contribute to, lead and/or supervise research activities.

Planning for the NRC is in its advanced stages, and the building will be ready in the summer of 2025. This role will be temporarily based at our current unit Linden Lodge at City Hospital until we move to the 70 bed NRC facility in autumn 2025.
