Job summary
A leading aerospace engineering company in Wolverhampton is seeking a competent Process Development Engineer to enhance operator process development. You will be involved in writing work instructions and planning methods, as well as utilizing Solumina. Candidates should have Mechanical/Precision Engineering qualifications and experience in a machining environment. This position offers a negotiable remuneration based on experience, with a contract or fixed term of 18-24 months.
Qualifications
- Proficient in CNC process development and methods planning.
- Experience with Solumina as a Manufacturing Execution System.
- Basic understanding of machine shop fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Write and manage work instructions for machinists.
- Plan methods and create work instructions.
- Input instructions into Solumina.
- Support the Manufacturing Support team as needed.
- Break down complex processes for better understanding.

We have a unique opportunity for a competent CNC Process Development Engineer to join a busy aerospace engineering company. This role focuses on operator process development including methods planning and work instruction creation. Experience with Solumina (Manufacturing Execution System) is required.
- Help write and manage work instructions that the shop floor machinists use.
- Methods planning and work instruction creation.
- Input instructions into Solumina (Manufacturing Execution System).
- Support wider Manufacturing Support team where necessary.
- Data extrapolation and complex process breakdown.
- Mechanical/Precision Engineering qualifications
- Competent in the use of Solumina (Manufacturing Execution System)
- Exposure and use of SAP (ERP System)
- Understanding of machine shop fundamentals including CNC
