A healthcare provider in the UK is looking for an enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join their aseptic unit team. This role involves supervising daily operations, effective communication with customers and suppliers, and ensuring service quality. Candidates must be registered with the GPhC and have relevant experience. The position offers various NHS benefits, including competitive holidays and a supportive working environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and committed pharmacy technician to join our friendly and dedicated team working in the aseptic unit at York.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake team leader duties which involve the supervision and co‑ordination of the daily workload. This will require exceptional organisational skills and the ability to direct and supervise staff, as well as enhanced communication skills for interacting with customers and suppliers to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Experience of working in an aseptic or manufacturing environment would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
The role will either be a band 4 or 5 depending on experience.
Applicants must be registered with the GPhC (or be in a position to do so) and have prior experience of working in a hospital aseptic facility. Pre and in‑process checking accreditation status is essential for the role; applicants should have this or be willing to work towards it.
Across our organisation, people are guided by values that were co‑developed with staff: we are kind; we are open; and we pursue excellence. If there is anything we can do to make our application process more accessible to you, please contact yhs-tr.recruitment@nhs.net.
As part of seeking to become more inclusive, we will consider requests for flexible working from the start of your employment. It may not be suitable for every role, but we will try and be supportive where we can. We encourage you to speak to the recruiting manager named within this advert to discuss any requirements you may have.
We are holders of the Gold Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, actively promoting SaBRE – Supporting Britain’s Reservists and Employers. This means we have made a statement of intent to support all Defence personnel, including with applications for employment.
Note: This advert closes on Sunday 7 Dec 2025. The position may close early if a high number of applications are received.
