Job summary
A regional police force in the UK is looking for a proactive individual to join their Site Facilities team on a part-time basis. The role involves assisting with daily operations, maintaining high standards, and driving to various locations. Key qualifications include having a full driving license and prior experience in a similar role. Working hours are Monday to Wednesday, and this position supports the team's efforts in ensuring effective facility management. Strong attention to detail and independence are essential.
Qualifications
- Must hold a full current driving licence and be over 21 years of age.
- Previous experience in a similar environment is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day facilities operations.
- Maintain high standards across facilities and coordinate deliveries.
- Assist with office moves and drive to and from force locations.
Skills
Avon and Somerset Police are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to become part of our Site Facilities team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Facilities Officers to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective maintenance of our premises, grounds, vehicle fleet, and equipment.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with day-to-day facilities operations, helping to maintain high standards across our sites, and coordinating the delivery and collection of goods and equipment between force locations and other destinations as required.
Hours - Part time working 21 hrs pw.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, takes pride in attention to detail, and values contributing to the smooth running of essential services.
- Assisting with office moves including the removal and storage of furniture.
- Driving to and from force locations, occasionally driving outside of the force area.
- Undertaking vehicle maintenance.
- Monitor and respond to verbal and IT based demand for services, operating and maintaining both electronic and manual record systems.
- Hold a full current driving licence -Due to the requirement to drive all our police vehicles you must be over 21 years of age.
- Ability to act on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- The post holder will have previous experience in a similar environment.
The working hours for this post will be Monday – Wednesday (08.00 – 15.30)
Interviews will take place 8th January at Concorde House
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
