Job summary

A competitive motorsport team in the East Midlands is looking for a skilled Composites Technician to join their Customer Racing Programme. In this full-time role, you will support the repair and maintenance of composite components across LMP2 and GT3 cars. Responsibilities include high-quality repairs, laminating, and supporting mechanics on trackside work. You must have proven composites experience and high attention to detail to contribute effectively to race performance.

  • Proven composites experience within motorsport or aerospace.
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing elite-quality work.
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and cleanly under time pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Completing high-quality repairs including structural, cosmetic and bonded repairs.
  • Trimming, drilling, profiling and finishing components to drawing/specification.
  • Laminating pre-preg repairs, patching, insert replacement and composite assembly.
  • Supporting mechanics with fitting, alignment and trackside repair work.
  • Documenting repairs and managing composite materials.

About the Role

As a Composites Technician in Customer Racing, you’ll support the repair, preparation and maintenance of composite components across our LMP2 and GT3 cars.
Your craftsmanship directly affects car performance, safety and reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Completing high-quality repairs including structural, cosmetic and bonded repairs.
  • Trimming, drilling, profiling and finishing components to drawing/specification.
  • Laminating pre-preg repairs, patching, insert replacement and composite assembly.
  • Supporting mechanics with fitting, alignment and trackside repair work.
  • Documenting repairs, managing composite materials and maintaining traceability.
  • Managing consumables, equipment, ovens, tooling and composite workspaces.
  • Travelling to events when required to support trackside composite needs.
