Music Teacher - Secondary School - Merton - Inspire a Love of Music!
Calling all passionate and dedicated Music Teachers!
Do you have the energy and enthusiasm to ignite a love of music in young people? We are seeking an outstanding Music Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and innovative lessons that cater to a range of musical interests and abilities.
- Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore their musicality and develop their skills.
- Lead and direct school choirs and instrumental ensembles, providing opportunities for students to perform and showcase their talents.
- Organise and participate in school concerts and musical productions, enriching the cultural life of the school community.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Music, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring that our teaching remains current and engaging.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Music teaching.
We are looking for a Music Teacher who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Music or a related field.
- Experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Music.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for Music and a commitment to inspiring students.
- A high level of musicianship and the ability to teach a variety of instruments and vocal techniques.
