A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a clinical specialist Occupational Therapist focused on mental health. The role involves supervising junior team members, managing complex cases, and engaging in leadership development. Candidates must be HCPC registered with a degree in Occupational Therapy and at least one year of clinical experience. If so, Oxford Health have developed a Band 5-6 development framework to support Occupational Therapists to develop their complex Occupational Therapy clinical skills and invest in growing your leadership capacity to provide you with the best start as a Band 6.
We would also welcome applications to this post from established Band 6's.
We have a strong identity as inpatient occupational therapists. This post is based as part of the ward MDT and you will join a service wide OT team that includes Band 5-7 occupational therapists and occupational therapy apprentices. We have regular skill development days, OT forums and you will have supervision from a clinical specialist occupational therapist to support and ensure your development.

Successful candidates must have completed preceptorship and be confident in their assessment and clinical reasoning skills, be able to manage their time effectively and be a proactive member of the multi-disciplinary team
You will carry a complex caseload as a member of the MDT, supervise junior members of the therapy team, support the development of the occupational therapy service provision within the setting and engage in leadership development as part of the role.
