Description Location : Brighton Salary : £25,065 per year (FTE £30,914) Hours : 30 per week, including regular evening and some weekend shifts Staying Well is an innovative out of hours crisis mental health service which supports clients experiencing a mental health crisis.

While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.

Staying Well provides crisis intervention to increase resilience and coping skills, empowering clients to safely manage their wellbeing within the community.

We are open 7 days a week, (including bank holidays), from 5pm on weekdays and 3pm at the weekend.

This role will support the Team Manager in running the Staying Well Brighton service, an innovative out‑of‑hours service providing support to people experiencing acute distress due to mental health difficulties.

This psychologically informed service follows a crisis café model, which we deliver across East Sussex.

The service is staffed by a mix of paid Recovery Specialists and Peer Workers.

We are looking to appoint a Coordinator to provide line management and supervision to the Peer Workers in our team, based in Brighton.

The role will involve regular evening and alternate weekend shifts.

You will be working alongside the team and coordinating the day‑to‑day running of the service.

Coordinators liaise with the Team manager and Service Manager to ensure the overall quality of the service and assist in meeting its stated objectives.

You will be closely supported by the Team Manager in your role and will be experienced in using techniques to motivate and support people effectively.

Successful candidates will require experience working with people with mental health needs, and a good understanding of local NHS or other support services.

Skills, knowledge and experience – What you’ll need for the role
  • Experience working in the mental health sector, preferably in a community focus setting.
  • Good understanding of local NHS and other support services.
  • Experience in using techniques to motivate and support people effectively.
  • Experience of facilitating personal development, in a peer‑to‑peer or supervisory capacity.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be paid for by Southdown Training.
  • You’ll receive a comprehensive induction followed up with regular training from our award‑winning in‑house team.
