What you will do

You will be responsible for the operational management of the Community Mental Health Team for the Elderly including professional/clinical supervision and deployment of staff. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative and as a lone worker working within a variety of settings within the community. You should be able to provide evidence or personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job

You will have experience working as a qualified registered nurse and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for a variety of client groups with Mental Health conditions in the community setting.

  • Previous mental health community experience is essential.
  • Leadership experience is essential.
  • Understand and demonstrate evidence-based knowledge of care assurance, quality improvement methodology and governance structures associated within community nursing.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate qualification is desirable.
  • A current NMC PIN is essential.
