Job description
Overview

We are transforming Adult Social Care and integrated Community Mental Health Services in Salford. The Mental Health Social Work function is delivered within Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust’s (GMMH) Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) and we are re‑purpose the Mental Health Social Worker role to focus on statutory social care functions.

Responsibilities
  • Adult safeguarding: screen referrals and act as Enquiry Officer for those meeting the s.42 threshold for further enquiry.
  • Care Act statutory functions: provide Care Act s.2 and s.4, and when required proportionate Care Act assessments for new referrals to Salford’s community mental health services.
  • Work across GMMH’s Adult Community Mental Health Team at Ramsgate House and contribute to other Community Mental Health Teams across Salford when required.
  • Participate in the AMHP rota if an approved AMHP; contribute to Best Interests Assessment training if staff wishing to train.
Qualifications

Working hours
