Job description

DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

JOB PURPOSE

This is a UKI role, based out of our London offices working on an account that spans across both our Creative and Media and Experience and Engineering teams. We combine data, technology, creative content, web and media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions. Our clients include eBay, Just Eat Takeaway, EasyJet, and PepsiCo.

We’re looking for a senior, highly versatile Programme Director to lead delivery on a complex, multi channel performance marketing eco system for a niche automotive brand. This person will sit at the centre of Creative, Media, Editorial, Web, SEO, Analytics and Automation workstreams - driving alignment, shaping delivery plans, and ensuring we operate as one integrated team for the client.

The Programme Director will act as the connective tissue between multiple departments, providing senior-level orchestration, integrated programme plans, and consistent communication across all workstreams. They must be confident navigating creative, media and web/tech environments and be able to translate between disciplines to ensure seamless delivery.

This is a client-facing role, working in partnership with the Client Services lead to give the client a unified, joined-up agency experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • In partnership with the Client Services lead, own and orchestrate the fully integrated programme, aligning Creative, Media, Editorial, SEO, Web Optimisation, Analytics and Automation teams around shared plans, priorities and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain integrated timing plans, roadmaps, governance models and delivery frameworks across all workstreams.
  • Act as the central point of escalation and alignment for both DEPT® teams and client stakeholders.
  • Provide senior level programme leadership, ensuring consistency, quality and cohesion across all outputs and strategic decisions.
  • Facilitate collaboration between strategy, creative, media, tech and analytics teams to ensure work connects and ladders up to the broader programme goals.
  • Run and lead quarterly and monthly planning cycles, co-ordinating inputs from multiple specialist teams.
  • Partner closely with Delivery Leads, Strategy and Media/Editorial leads to maintain clarity on scope, priorities, risks and dependencies.
  • Maintain strong client / agency relationship, ensuring confidence in programme direction, delivery cadence and governance.
  • Monitor programme health, risks, resource planning and overall operational efficiency, working with team leads to resolve blockers quickly.
  • Ensure the client experiences a one-DEPT® integrated model.
  • Support commercial management (scoping, forecasting, change control) with local and central Delivery teams.
SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
  • Relevant experience in a senior delivery/programme role within a digital/creative/marketing agency environment.
  • Demonstrable experience working across multiple disciplines - ideally a blend of Creative, Media and Web/Tech.
  • Strong understanding of how strategy, creative, media, tech, SEO and analytics connect within an integrated programme.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain complex multi-workstream timing plans and delivery frameworks.
  • Automotive or mobility sector experience is a strong advantage, particularly across multi-market programmes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence senior clients and internal leaders.
  • Confidence operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and turning complexity into clear direction.
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and experienced in managing senior cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset - able to spot risks early and navigate teams through challenges.
WE OFFER
  • A flexible, hybrid working policy
  • The choice of medical healthcare providers (Bupa or Medicash)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off each year
  • Company pension scheme
  • Ride to work scheme
  • Enhanced family friendly policies
  • Buddy Program: You will be paired with a ‘Buddy’ to help you through your first weeks’ at DEPT®.
  • A reputation for doing good. DEPT® has been a Certified B Corp® since 2021 and named ‘Agency of the Year’ at both The Lovies and The Webby Awards.
  • Awesome clients. Whether big or small, local or global — at DEPT® you’ll get the opportunity to work with clients of all sizes and across all industries. And we celebrate all of our successes together!
  • The opportunity for possibility. We want to enable you to do what you do best and help you develop your skills further with training, development and certifications.
  • Annual trip to DEPT® Festival in the Netherlands: a chance to meet other people in DEPT®, see great talks from industry leaders, and have an all expenses paid weekend of fun!
  • Global annual DEPT® Cares Month in which employees come together and donate their skills to support local charities.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.

We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.
