Job summary
A global leader in engineering systems seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Milton Keynes. You will design and specify, manage installations, and ensure the punctual delivery of high-quality engineering projects. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience, strong 3D modelling skills, and the ability to lead an engineering team. The role comes with a competitive salary between £50,000 and £70,000, 25 days of annual leave, and a 6% company pension.

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the design and specification, manufacturing, performing site surveys, and the installation and commissioning of special-purpose capital equipment.
- Experience in the design/specification, manufacture, installation/commissioning of special-purpose capital equipment (experience in conveyor systems is an advantage)
- Practical hands-on experience with site surveys and installation/commissioning is essential, with at least 10 years of industry experience
- A strong understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles, proven ability to deliver projects on time, practical rather than academic/theoretical ability or experience, and proficiency in basic structural hand calculations
- Strong 3D modelling skills, part and assembly modelling and an interest in 2D creating layouts (AutoCAD)
- A desire and ability to step up to manage the day-to-day running of the engineering team
- Salary paying between £50,000 to £70,000 doe
- 25 days annual leave
