A healthcare organization in England seeks a Clinical Scientist in Radiotherapy Physics to contribute to clinical service delivery and develop new technologies. The ideal candidate should be HCPC registered or qualified to achieve registration. Responsibilities include supporting clinical service and engaging in research. A physics degree and relevant postgraduate experience are essential. The role necessitates good communication and time management skills, with ongoing training offered for professional development.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Clinical Scientist position in Radiotherapy Physics based at The James Cook University Hospital. The closing date is 18 February 2026. The Radiotherapy Physics section will contribute to routine clinical service delivery and the development of new techniques and technologies across all areas of the service. The department serves a population of 1 million people and is equipped with 6 Elekta linacs, two Siemens CT scanners and will soon be installing a new kV unit and HDR afterloader. The hardware base is complemented by Mosaiq OIS, Monaco & Raystation and Prosoma virtual simulation software systems. AI tools are increasingly used as part of the department\'s work and there are ambitions to deliver online adaptive radiotherapy in the future.
Applicants for this post should be HCPC Registered as a Clinical Scientist or in a position to achieve registration within 12 months. We also welcome applications from exceptional individuals able to achieve registration via ACS route 2 within 3 years. Appointment would be under AFC annex 21 rules, following a structured training plan leading to HCPC registration.
