Job summary
A precision engineering company in Leeds is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to manage programming, setting, and operating CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with HAAS, Fanuc, Siemens or Prototrak and be capable of machining components from various materials like stainless steel and aluminium. The role offers a competitive pay of £16 to £17 per hour, a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday, and overtime opportunities during busy periods.

LEEDS
Are you an experienced CNC Miller and Programmer with sub-contract Machining experience, looking for a new role? If so, I am looking for you. My client, is a busy Precision Engineering company based in Leeds.
Ideally, you will be Apprentice Trained; however, my client will employ experienced, time served CNC Millers. Key requirements for the role include:
- Must be able to Program, Set, Edit and Operate
- HAAS, Fanuc, Siemens or Prototrak experience is essential
- Experience of Machining up to 4-axis
- Good experience of Sub-Contract work
- Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
- Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (2’s to 100’s)
- CNC Turning experience would be beneficial
- Working to tight tolerances
Day to day duties of this role include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC’s to produce accurate, quality components
- Effective and efficient use of all materials and tooling
- Managing your work schedule
- Self inspecting all manufactured components
- Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards
You will be contracted to 40hrs per week working Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4.30pm with an early finish on a Friday. The starting Pay Rate for the role is experience dependant ranging between £16p/hr up to £17p/hr. Overtime is available during busy periods throughout the week.
