A claims management firm in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to manage property damage claims arising from various perils. Responsibilities include assessing damage, managing projects up to £100k, and reporting findings. Candidates with MRICS or MCIOB qualifications are preferred but not essential. Our client is seeking a Building Surveyor to manage a portfolio of property damage claims arising from subsidence or perils (fire, flood, storm, etc.).
- Handle claims/projects up to £100k in value from start to finish, ensuring the best possible outcome for both the customer and the company.
- Visit site(s) to assess damage and determine causation and policy liability.
- Write and submit full reports outlining findings and commenting on the nature and extent of damage.
- Negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and other parties involved in the claim.
- MRICS or MCIOB qualification is preferred but not essential.
