Job description

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of our employment services? We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Supply Chain Lead to join our team in a role that’s all about impact, innovation, and collaboration.

As our Supply Chain Lead, you’ll be at the heart of managing a network of subcontractors delivering employment contracts. Your mission is to ensure our partners deliver exceptional service to our customers and consistently meet key performance indicators.

You’ll be the go-to person for quality assurance, performance management, and strategic supply chain development, making a real difference in people’s lives through effective partnerships.

We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and has proven experience in supply chain management or contract delivery. You should have strong planning and organisational skills and the confidence to challenge underperformance and drive improvement.

But don’t worry if you don’t tick every box—we value potential, attitude, and the ability to persuade and influence just as much as experience.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range £45,000 to £51,775 p.a. (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday Day off (with the opportunity to buy additional days)
  • 2 Volunteer Days
  • Company Pension Scheme - 5% Employee 5% Employer
  • Health Insurance Allowance
  • Employer Paid Healthcare Cash Plan, incl. 3 x salary life assurance
  • Annual Pay Review
  • Enhanced Maternity/Adoption and Paternity Pay Arrangements
  • Free access to BenefitHub – an online portal with access to a wide range of retail discounts, Life Assurance, Cycle to Work Scheme, Tax Saver Commuter Tickets
  • Refer a Friend Scheme

Location: This is a remote delivery role

Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30pm

Closing Date: 14 October 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Through an effective performance management approach of ‘Challenge’ and ‘Support’, and by working closely with the management team and other internal support functions (e.g., Quality, Compliance, Commercial and Finance), ensure subcontractors can successfully deliver all aspects of their contract.
  • Frequent travel throughout the area to conduct regular contract review meetings with designated subcontractors in accordance with the Supply Chain Management Framework and Performance Management Framework; interpret contract performance data to ensure subcontractors are performing as agreed.
  • Where appropriate, take mitigating actions, including initiating the Performance Improvement process, supporting the management team to identify suitable partnerships and subcontracting arrangements to manage any gaps in delivery.
  • Benchmark the performance of subcontractors with the aim of ensuring continued value for money and continuous improvement in performance and business practices.
  • Create and agree operational delivery plans with the management team, in respect of designated subcontractors and maintain the plans as appropriate.
  • Maintain transparent and clear communication and ensure key issues and actions from subcontractor meetings are documented and shared with relevant colleagues.
  • Encourage subcontractors to commit to a practice of continuous improvement and the sharing of best practice among the network of Providers.
  • Seek innovative solutions, presenting business cases and working alongside colleagues and subcontractors, to develop the evidence base for new and improved approaches to delivery.
  • Build an understanding of the area’s current and future needs and priorities regarding the contract.
  • Build effective and productive relationships with sub-contractors based on three key factors for success.
  • Establish a collaborative working environment among all stakeholders to facilitate partnership working and high levels of motivation, innovation and communication.
