I am seeking a Health & Safety and Fire Consultant to support our team in providing comprehensive safety initiatives for our diverse clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about workplace safety and has a desire to empower businesses to prioritise employee wellbeing.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be home based in the Southeast of England and be travelling for 2-3 days per week.

Overview:
  • Conduct thorough Health & Safety audits, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Complete fire risk assessments to proactively mitigate fire risks and safeguard lives and property.
  • Undertake comprehensive risk assessments, developing and implementing effective controls to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Develop clear, concise, and actionable safety policies and procedures to foster a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert H&S advice and support to a wide range of clients, empowering them to prioritise employee wellbeing.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality reports and training materials, including IOSH Managing Safely courses, to keep clients informed and ensure compliance.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
  • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate (Preferably NEBOSH Diploma) or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in H&S principles.
  • Minimum TechIOSH (Preferably GradIOSH) membership with a demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development by working towards CMIOSH.
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety qualification (or equivalent), showcasing specialized knowledge in fire risk management.
Essential Skills:
  • Proven experience within a health and safety consultancy environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build strong relationships and convey complex H&S information.
  • The ability to thrive in both a collaborative team environment and independently, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in all H&S activities.
