Job summary
A recruitment agency seeks an interim senior contracts and procurement lawyer for a 6-month rolling contract with a District Council. This fully remote role involves advising on procurement matters, drafting agreements, and providing guidance on local government practices. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of local government experience and be familiar with the 2023 Procurement Act.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in local government roles.
- Knowledge of the 2023 Procurement Act is essential.
Responsibilities
- Advise on a variety of procurement matters, especially IT.
- Draft and negotiate contracts and service agreements.
- Guide on local government procurement practices.

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a District Council in the South East who are looking to hire an interim senior contracts and procurement lawyer for a 6 rolling contract to cover a gap in their team. The role can be offered on a fully remote basis aside from IT collection on the first day.
- Advise on a broad variety of procurement matters inclusive of the IT category.
- Draft and negotiate funding and service level agreements.
- Provide guidance on local government procurement practices and policy as required.
- At least 2 years prior experience working within local government.
- Familiar with the 2023 Procurement Act.
