Role Description

Female Support Worker

Please note: If you require a Visa to work in the UK, SeeAbility is currently unable to support any sponsorship requests.

Location: Southampton; SO31

  • Salary: £12.00 per hour (£23,400 per annum pro-rata) plus benefits.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7.00am to 10.00pm, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis, plus sleep-ins.

    We're looking for female support workers to join our team who can stay calm under pressure, who are enthusiastic and take a proactive approach. If you have had exposure to behaviours that others might find challenging, you're exactly who we're looking for.

    Who will you be supporting?

    Hampshire Support Serviceisseeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Support Worker to join our team.

    About you

  • Looking for full time hours covering a combination of morning, evening and night shifts
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with the people we support who have diverse needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Share out values of embracing differences, promoting inclusivity and respect one another
  • You must hold UK Driving License
  • *This post is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1) which provides for the application of a genuine occupational requirement.

    Key responsibilities

  • Provide support with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Accompany the people we support to appointments and activities
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and provide reports as necessary
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the people we support at all times
