A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Control Engineer to work remotely with mandatory visits to the office in Barrow-in-Furness. The role involves updating Electrical Safety Rules and providing a training and authorisation plan for Control Engineers. Candidates must have qualifications in Electrical Engineering and Safety. This position offers a competitive framework outside of IR35.

Description:
Overview of the situation
Currently in CLIENT the only route to Control Engineer is via Authorised Person and Senior Authorised Person. As the Control Room is moving away from the execution team where the AP/ SAPs are located, this is causing a bottle neck in the development path and restricting direct authorisation as a Control Engineer
Goal
Update the CLIENT Electrical Safety Rules to include a training and authorisation plan to allow direct authorisation as a Control Engineer
Scope of Work
We need an electrical safety consultant (Supported by current CLIENT team) to review the current CLIENT Electrical Safety Rules and provide a draft update which will contain
Timeline
Complete by December 2025 - 7.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday
Location
Remote work is ok but visits to the office (LA14 2GR) will be required
