This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Senior Product Designer - Pay Ecosystem. Senior Designers at Remote are highly experienced and own design for a dev team or feature area while being supported by the larger team.

The payroll team builds experiences that empower customers to pay anyone, anywhere safely and compliantly. This is a strategically important, high-profile team at Remote, presenting fascinating, complex and meaty challenges that require primary research, robust strategy, innovative concepts and simple, brilliant execution.

You'll work with a cross-discipline team of designers, developers and PMs, within a close-knit group of product designers who will inspire your growth. The design team is growing and maturing Remote’s end-to-end design practice.

What you bring
  • An individual contributor with a portfolio demonstrating maturity across the end-to-end design process, delivering delightful, well-crafted interfaces with tangible impact.
  • Persuasive communication skills to build narratives around design work, provide direction, and collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders with fluent written and spoken English.
  • A systems thinker comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment who autonomously owns design for complex domains and/or multiple projects.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with product and engineering to build consensus and drive impactful outcomes.
  • Active contribution to shaping design culture and ways of working in the organization.
  • Preference for candidates with experience designing complex B2B SaaS solutions in HRTech, FinTech, or related industries.
  • Candidates who embody Remote core values.
  • Remote work experience is a plus but not required.
Key responsibilities
  • Influence strategy for your product team and identify opportunities for impact with stakeholders and cross-functional peers.
  • Apply the right research methodology at the right time to empathize with customer challenges and gain deep problem understanding.
  • Leverage AI prototyping to explore ideas and collaborate with peers to create functional flows.
  • Craft high-fidelity user interfaces with velocity while maintaining quality and usability.
  • Lead vision initiatives for your team and domain, visualizing direction and opportunities for innovation.
  • Solve problems holistically with systems thinking, ensuring scalability and minimizing unwanted variation in information architecture and experiences.
  • Communicate persuasively, weaving storytelling around your work and efficiently triaging feedback.
  • Collaborate transparently, sharing work with the wider organization to solicit feedback and enable cross-domain collaboration.
  • Advocate for using and contributing to our design system Norma, balancing adherence with thoughtful deviation when appropriate.
  • Champion experience principles by prioritizing simplicity, usability, scalability and accessibility.
  • Be an active member of our cross-functional culture, supporting peers and refining ways of working.
