Job summary
A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced Oracle / RDS DBA to manage the migration of an on-premise Oracle database to AWS RDS. The role involves configuring relational databases, ensuring data migration, and utilizing cloud infrastructure skills. Candidates should be proficient in scripting and CI/CD processes. This position offers a competitive daily rate and the possibility of remote work.
Responsibilities
- Move on-premise Oracle DB (Solaris) into AWS RDS Oracle.
- Configure and manage relational databases and backup strategies.
- Work with cloud infrastructure and data migration.

Rate: £575 per day - PAYE via Umbrella Only
- Move on-premise Oracle DB (Solaris) into AWS RDS Oracle (RDS experience and RHET).
- Work with RDS and File share on SAAS demands proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), data migration, and automation scripting (PowerShell, Shell).
- Configure and manage relational databases, file storage protocols (NFS, SMB), and backup strategies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, tagging for cost optimisation, and security compliance.
- Familiarity with DevOps, observability tools, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of business process flows, integration patterns, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful implementation and support.
