Purpose of the Role

The AI Catalyst Trainer will lead, deliver and continuously improve the learner experience for the Level 4 AI Catalyst programme. You will serve as a subject matter expert in applied AI and workplace AI adoption - helping learners build the skills needed to confidently and responsibly deploy AI across business workflows.

You will deliver both face-to-face and virtual classroom sessions, embedding modern learning pedagogy, AI tools, and interactive approaches to maximise engagement. You will collaborate closely with the curriculum design team to develop, refine, and continuously improve programme content, ensuring it reflects industry best practice and cutting-edge AI applications.

The ideal candidate will have commercial industry experience, strong digital/AI literacy, and proven ability to train and inspire learners.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery & Learner Experience
  • Deliver high-quality face-to-face and virtual training aligned to the AI Catalyst curriculum
  • Facilitate hands-on learning with AI tools and real-world business use cases
  • Coach learners to build AI-enabled processes, automations, and solutions
  • Ensure an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Drive learner progress and ensure timely completion of programme milestones
Curriculum & Content Development
  • Work with the curriculum team to iterate, improve and evolve programme content
  • Bring AI concepts to life through case studies, examples, and real workplace context
  • Embed future-focused AI tools, techniques and industry developments into delivery
  • Support scenario-based learning, problem-solving and applied project work
Employer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with employers to contextualise learning to real business challenges
  • Act as a trusted AI skills advisor - helping organisations adopt AI responsibly and productively
  • Provide programme feedback to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering training, coaching or facilitation (virtual &/or in-person)
  • Practical experience applying AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, automation platforms) in a business context
  • Understanding of AI adoption in business workflows, productivity, service, or operations
  • Strong knowledge of data ethics, responsible AI and information governance
  • Ability to break down complex topics into simple, practical, workplace-ready learning
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and learning-engagement skills
  • Confident using digital learning and collaboration platforms
Desirable
  • Experience delivering apprenticeships or formal training programmes
  • Familiarity with project-based learning, portfolios, and workplace coaching
  • Knowledge of emerging AI technologies, prompt engineering, and automation tools
  • Understanding of Ofsted/ESFA expectations for apprenticeship delivery
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. BCS AI Foundation, Microsoft AI, Google AI)
