Job summary
A tutoring company in Penwortham seeks a part-time Numeracy & Literacy Tutor to provide personalized tuition to KS1/KS2 students. The successful candidate must be creative and patient, capable of developing tailored learning plans to re-engage vulnerable students. Experience with special educational needs is preferred, and applicants must hold the right to work in the UK. The role offers flexible hours at a rate of £25 per hour and is an ongoing contract.
Qualifications
- QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
- UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
- Must be patient, creative, and willing to think outside the box.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized tuition to KS1/KS2 students.
- Create and deliver individualized learning plans.
- Re-engage students into education.

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk - students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.
It is Prospero's mission to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK. As such, we are looking for a tutor who can offer personalized, enjoyable lessons whilst being re-engage these students into education and bring structure into their daily routine.

- Hours - Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family
- QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
- Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
