Whitmore Park Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, hardworking Site Services Assistant, to support our Site Services Officer, to start as soon as possible.
Hours: 15 hours a week, Monday-Thursday 2.30pm-5.45pm, Friday 2.30pm-4.30pm, all year.
Duties will include:
- Opening and closing the school
- Deputising for the Site Services Officer as required
- Securing the buildings and grounds when not in use
- Key Holder responsibilities
- Carrying out maintenance and minor repairs within the school, including painting and decorating
- To comply with all Health & Safety aspects and follow procedures
- Ensure premises are cleaned to a high standard and the grounds are neat and tidy
- Excellent communication skills with pupils, families, staff and contractors
What is the job role?
The Ideal candidate will:
- Be willing to complete a DBS (enhanced criminal records check)
- Have a friendly approachable character and a good sense of humour
- Able to respect confidentiality
- Have excellent time-management skills
- Be physically fit and willing to lift/move equipment
- Have experience and knowledge in carrying out minor repairs
- Be willing to be flexible and do additional hours as required to include driving the school minibus
- Be over the age of 21 and hold a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years
- Be willing to do minibus training
