Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking Senior to Staff-level Compiler Engineers to develop and optimize advanced compiler toolchains for next-generation compute platforms. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in compiler development, particularly with LLVM, and a strong background in C++. Responsibilities include optimizing for AI workloads and working closely with silicon teams. This remote role offers a competitive salary range of £100k to £120k.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in compiler development, preferably with LLVM.
- Proficiency in C++ and systems performance optimization.
- Experience with hardware-aware software or AI accelerators.
Responsibilities

We’re working with a group of well-funded, fast-scaling hardware and AI companies building next-generation compute platforms - from AI accelerators to advanced silicon and compiler stacks.
We’re looking for Senior to Staff-level Compiler Engineers to join teams tackling problems at the intersection of software, hardware, and performance-critical systems.
- LLVM and custom compiler toolchains
- Optimisation for AI / ML workloads
- Close collaboration with architecture and silicon teams
- Performance, codegen, and low-level systems work
- Strong experience in compiler development (LLVM preferred)
- C++ expertise
- Background in systems, performance optimisation, or hardware-aware software
- Experience with AI accelerators, CPUs, GPUs, or DSPs a plus
