This role is critical for a technical expert with over 10 years of engineering leadership experience, particularly in regulated fintech. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise architecture and cloud-native solutions and will be responsible for delivering resilient systems. This opportunity offers a competitive salary of £90,000 - £105,000 and the possibility of remote work.

Job Title: Head of Engineering

Salary: £90,000 - £105,000

- Enterprise Architecture design and governance, particularly in a regulated sector.
- Expert knowledge of scaling via Microservices and Event Sourcing in low‑latency environments.
- Hands‑on proficiency with Cloud Native Architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of Payment API design and integration.
- Establishing and enforcing best practices for security, CI / CD, and operational resilience.
- 10+ years of senior engineering leadership
- 8+ years of proven, hands‑on experience designing and successfully scaling high‑volume B2B payment platforms.
- Advanced technical degree OR demonstrable, equivalent experience
