Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – £50 per hour Umbrella – North West

Venn Group’s specialist Legal Services team are currently working with a reputable Housing Association in the North West who are recruiting a Locum Litigation Lawyer to join their department

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Solicitor, and it is essential that any applicant has experience working within Housing Disrepair.

Duties may include:

• Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims, including pre-action protocol cases and litigated matters.
• Provide legal advice and representation in relation to tenant disrepair claims and counterclaims.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. asset management, repairs, housing officers) to investigate claims and coordinate appropriate responses.
• Instruct and work with external counsel or experts (e.g. surveyors) as needed.
• Draft legal documentation including defences, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate settlements where appropriate, balancing legal risk with commercial and reputational considerations.

An hourly rate of up to £50 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependent on experience.
