Job summary
A well-regarded legal recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to provide contract law advice and support for a Local Authority. The role is remote, offering a pay rate of up to £55 per hour umbrella. The ideal candidate will have experience in the public sector and the ability to work independently. This position is set for an initial 3 months with the potential for extension.

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a well-regarded Local Authority in the East of England to recruit a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a dynamic and vibrant legal team.
The Role:
Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Rate: Up to £55 per hour umbrella
Duration: Initial 3+ months with the possibility for extension
Location: Remote working
Hours: 4 days per week, 28-32 hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing advice on Contract and Procurement Law
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts
- Provide legal advice on procurement strategy, governance frameworks, and contractual risk in line with evolving procurement legislation
- Ensure legal compliance with procurement regulations relevant to the public sector
About You:
- An experienced Commercial Contracts Lawyer
- Experience of working within a Local Authority or Public Sector Organisation
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines
