A leading betting platform in the UK is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a talented backend team in delivering innovative sports products. This role emphasizes technical expertise and leadership without requiring hands-on coding. You will shape team performance, drive operational excellence, and enjoy flexible working arrangements. Salary: £80,000 - £90,000

We’re looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to guide a talented new backend team of four engineers dedicated to our Sports product. Your leadership will be critical in shaping the team’s success and driving innovation as we continue to grow.

In this role, you’ll take accountability for technical and delivery outcomes, nurture top-tier engineering talent, and cultivate an inclusive, high-performing culture. You’ll structure, support, and challenge your team to deliver outstanding results while ensuring they have the tools and environment to thrive.
While experience managing people is a bonus, we’re particularly excited about candidates with strong technical expertise, a delivery-focused background, and a passion for developing others. Although this role does not require hands-on coding, we are looking for someone who has previously worked as a software engineer and brings a deep technical understanding to guide and support the team effectively.
