Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England and nearly 3,500 staff and volunteers who run them. Every year, our services support around 125,000 people.
Bringing together two large organizations is a significant task, and it will take time to fully integrate our systems, processes, and approaches. Therefore, you may notice that current jobs are still branded ‘Humankind’. We plan to fully integrate our recruitment systems next year, but for now, they are separate.
Based at 40 Bromley Road, London, N17 0AR, and the Youth Justice Centre.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
The post holder will be part of the Insight Platform within the Young People's Service, working with young people experiencing alcohol-related problems, mental health issues, and complex needs including drugs, psychological issues, anti-social behavior, self-harm, or co-occurring issues. The role involves improving access to treatment services for this cohort and providing interventions such as 1:1 support and group work.
You will bring a creative approach to the role and a willingness to build and nurture a successful, dynamic team focused on delivering excellent service and enhancing Waythrough’s reputation. You should be able to work effectively within professional partnerships to deliver outstanding services. An engaging communicator, you will have experience working in a similar setting or within the NHS managing a team working with clients with substance misuse issues and/or complex needs.
We are committed to providing fair chances for all and ensuring everyone can access the support they need. By joining our passionate team, you will contribute to making a difference, believing in our service users' potential to make positive changes.
