We are looking for a motivated candidate to join a well established team in Ward 54 who will be responsible for looking after the housekeeping on a busy surgical ward. The successful candidate will require to work alongside the ward manager and the nursing team towards contributing to the smooth running of our services and in ensuring a safe and comfortable environment is maintained.

• Coordinate all patient facilities in the ward ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Ensure effective provisions of catering, cleaning and maintenance services on the ward.
• Talk to and reassure patients.
• Order non-clinical supplies.
• Keep the ward clean and tidy.
• Prepare snacks and drinks.
• Report faults.
• Clerical and admin tasks.
• Contribute towards quality and improvement.

• Excellent communication skills and a knowledge of infection control.
• Basic IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, challenging and rewarding environment.
• Organisational skills and a methodical approach with a patient-centred focus.

• Experience within a busy ward is desirable, although not essential, as supervision and support will be available to orientate you into the role.
