Job description

A vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. UHDB require Junior Clinical Fellows in Emergency Medicine at the Queens Hospital Burton site. These posts are intended to provide clinicians with post-Foundation experience in Emergency Medicine.

We have recently undergone a period of redesign and refurbishment of our on‑site Minor Injuries department, offering a more streamlined process of managing all walk‑in patients through appropriate signposting and subsequent management.

Ideal Candidates
  • Considering a career in Emergency Medicine or Acute Specialties and looking for the support and training required to successfully apply for a training post.
  • Planning to pursue a career in Emergency Medicine or Acute Specialties and looking to undertake their training at Queens Hospital Burton via the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) route.
  • Undecided on a career path and are looking to undertake an additional acute post prior to future applications.
Key Responsibilities

These posts will include clinical experience in the Emergency Department, as well as specific teaching, training and support that depend on career aspirations.

The post holder is expected to commit to ongoing personal development, maintain and develop skills and professional knowledge relevant to the post, and develop a portfolio of evidence.
