Job summary
A leading manufacturing recruitment firm in the UK is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to ensure smooth communication of manufacturing requirements across departments. This role includes responsibilities such as creating FMEA's and control plans, developing NPI projects, and improving equipment effectiveness. Candidates should have a degree in engineering or HNC/HND and at least 2-3 years of industry experience, specializing in production and new product introduction. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in engineering or HNC/HND.
- At least 2-3 years experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Detailed knowledge in current production and new product introduction.
Responsibilities
- Create FMEA's, Process Flows, Control Plans, and other process documents.
- Develop NPI projects from initial design to full launch.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on current production.

A globally high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their manufacturing department with the appointment of a Manufacturing Engineer.
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will ensure all manufacturing requirements are communicated in detail through the relevant departments and provide support throughout the organisation.
- Create FMEA's, Process Flows, Control Plans, Work Instructions, Gauge Instructions, PPAP submissions, Packing Instructions, and other process documents.
- Develop NPI projects from initially process design and layout stage, through to full launch.
- Deal with new and existing suppliers to introduce new machines, tools and equipment.
- Responsible for buy-off process for new machines and tools.
- Introduce Poka Yoke systems to meet customer expectations.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on current production.
- Educated to degree level in engineering or HNC/HND.
- At least 2-3 years experience within the Manufacturing industry.
- Detailed knowledge and experience in current production and new product introduction.
- Excellent communication skills as this role will be the direct interface between manufacturing and the client.
