Job summary

Job description

A globally high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their manufacturing department with the appointment of a Manufacturing Engineer.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will ensure all manufacturing requirements are communicated in detail through the relevant departments and provide support throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Create FMEA's, Process Flows, Control Plans, Work Instructions, Gauge Instructions, PPAP submissions, Packing Instructions, and other process documents.
• Develop NPI projects from initially process design and layout stage, through to full launch.
• Deal with new and existing suppliers to introduce new machines, tools and equipment.
• Responsible for buy-off process for new machines and tools.
• Introduce Poka Yoke systems to meet customer expectations.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on current production.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in engineering or HNC/HND.
• At least 2-3 years experience within the Manufacturing industry.
• Detailed knowledge and experience in current production and new product introduction.
• Excellent communication skills as this role will be the direct interface between manufacturing and the client.
