A major university in the UK is seeking a Night Receptionist to join its hotel team. The role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards, and maximizing sales opportunities. Required skills include time management, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. The position is part-time, with a flexible working pattern of 28 hours per week. Grade UE03: £24,729 to £25,804 per annum (pro-rata) plus a 30% premium band
Department: Accommodation, Catering and Events

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Night Receptionist to join our highly successful hotel team.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic receptionist working in one of our hotels part of the University of Edinburgh Hospitality & Events collection, who display a positive can-do attitude and enjoy working within a diverse team. The successful candidate will be based at one of our receptions located at The Scholar; The Scott or KM Hotel & Apartments, however, flexibility is required to support our other receptions.
This post is an excellent opportunity for both personal and professional development, take on additional responsibilities and support us to enhance our reputation under our University of Edinburgh hospitality and events collection brand which is expected to grow over the next years.
To succeed in this busy role, you will need strong multi-tasking skills, excellent commercial awareness, and a real eye for detail. You will have experience in a busy front-facing customer service environment; a hospitality background and deal with a multitude of customers, including students in a professional manner. Flexibility to work across weekends is also required.
