Job description
Physiotherapy receptionist and administrator

We are seeking an organised and proactive administrative assistant, to support the daily operations of the musculoskeletal physiotherapy service.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a healthcare environment, has good communication and IT skills, and is committed to delivering high-quality administrative support and customer service.

The position will be based at Melton Hospital and will involve providing frontline administrative support to the physiotherapists and other clinical staff based at Melton, as well as remote support for 7 other physiotherapy teams across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.

Knowledge and experience in using computer systems, including MS Office and Outlook, along with confident customer service skills are essential.

An understanding of physiotherapy and experience in using patient management systems such as SystmOne, EMIS, RIO or similar is desirable but full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job
  • Supporting the management of patient appointments, bookings, cancellations and waiting lists.
  • Assisting the clinical team leads with diary organisation and arranging meetings and training sessions.
  • Greeting patients, handling enquiries in person, by phone and email.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting the service with data entry, stock and equipment ordering and general office duties.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies at all times.
