Job summary
A leading health service provider in Gloucester seeks a specialized nutrition practitioner to deliver dietary services within mental health and learning disabilities. The role includes conducting dietary assessments, providing clinical supervision to students, and ensuring that catering meets national standards. Ideal candidates will have expertise in nutrition related to mental health and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with the Trust's lead Dietitian and catering services.
Qualifications
- Specialist knowledge in nutrition and dietetics relevant to mental health and learning disabilities.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision to students.
- Experience in policy and service development.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist nutrition advice throughout mental health services.
- Conduct dietetic assessments and interventions for clients.
- Ensure catering provisions meet national food standards.
To provide specialist nutrition advice/input and training throughout mental health and learning disabilities (LD) services within the Trust
To provide a Trust wide Nutrition and Dietetic Service for mental health and LD and work as an autonomous practitioner and with supervision from the lead Dietitian.
To work with catering services to ensure the Trust's catering provisions are fit for purpose and meet national guidelines for hospital food standards
To provide dietetic assessments and interventions to individuals or groups of clients with mental illness or learning disabilities
To provide clinical supervision and support to Dietetic Students
To carry out delegated tasks in policy and service development reviews.
