As a Functional Assessor you will work autonomously to assess claimants applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit as part of the DWP’s Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). The role involves assessing individuals with a broad range of health conditions, with the opportunity to conduct some assessments remotely. An in-depth, fully paid training programme is provided, and the role counts towards clinical hours to maintain your registration.

• Utilise your clinical experience to understand how a claimant’s health conditions affect daily living and independence
• Conduct detailed, respectful assessments over the telephone, video, or face-to-face in office or remote settings
• Interpret medical evidence and compile findings into a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making

• NMC registration is required
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience; UK experience is essential
• Proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and strong IT competency
