Overview

Senior Nurse Temporary 6 months maternity cover. £23.28 per hour - Up to £50,843 per annum pro-rata. 12 hour shifts, full time - days and nights. Oakham Grange seeks a skilled nurse to deliver high standards of care within a supportive, autonomous clinical team led by a qualified nurse management team.

Oakham Grange is set in Barleythorpe, Oakham, offering a modern residential nursing and support environment with a patient-centred approach to care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality nursing care to residents with a focus on person-centred support and safety.
  • Perform clinical tasks including venepuncture, wound care, nursing assessments, male and female catheterisation, and administration of medications (e.g., insulin, IM injections, intravenous medications) as required, with training provided where needed.
  • Deliver excellent end-of-life care and continually assess residents’ changing needs, updating care plans accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider MDT (specialist nurses, therapists, GPs) and utilise clinical tools such as RESTORE 2.
  • Work with a team while maintaining autonomy, contributing to a professional, supportive environment and adhering to core values of Competence, Choice and Compassion.
Qualifications
  • Clinical skills: venepuncture, wound care, nursing assessments, catheterisation (male and female), and administration of medications (insulin, IM, IV) with training available.
  • Ability to provide end-of-life care and daily assessment of residents to update care plans.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to person-centred care.
  • Experience within a residential care setting is desirable; training and induction are provided.
