Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with their personal hygiene care, recognizing and understanding clinical risk areas in residents, acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, and practicing safe systems of work. Job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene care, promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times.
  • Recognise and understand clinical risk areas in residents (e.g., weight loss, pressure areas, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalate identified risks promptly.
  • Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Maintain safe systems of work across tasks within the home.
