As a Water Quality Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in improving water quality by carrying out mains flushing-a process that removes sediment and particles from water mains to reduce customer contact and enhance service. You'll be part of our Network Infrastructure Programme Team, where health and safety is at the heart of everything we do. No prior experience in the water industry? No problem. • Inspect network assets and identify issues before work begins
• Carry out mains flushing and field activities in line with Southern Water policies and RAMS
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Control Room teams to minimise customer disruption
• Record and submit flushing data via company systems and mobile apps
• Report site incidents and near misses with mitigation actions
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to queries in the field

• Mains flushing or water network experience (preferred but not essential)
• NRSWA streetworks experience (preferred but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across counties
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations
• Attention to detail and stakeholder awareness
• Physical resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions
