Job summary
A family-owned main contractor in North London is seeking a Graduate Site Manager to assist project management on a luxury residential project. Responsibilities include supervising onsite work, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations. Ideal candidates are recent graduates or those with 1-2 years of experience in construction management. This is a full-time position offering valuable experience in high-end residential construction.
Qualifications
- Recent Graduate with degree in Construction Management or similar OR 1-2 years' experience.
- Proficiency in recordkeeping.
- Experience in relaying detailed instructions to onsite construction teams.
- Ability to closely collaborate with other construction project stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction industry safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the project manager and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor budgets and control expenses related to labor and materials.
- Supervise construction work and communicate instructions from senior managers.
- Procure materials and manage subcontractors.
- Prepare work schedules and sequence onsite tasks.

About the Client
SSA are recruiting on behalf of an established family-owned main contractor operating within the high end residential & commercial sectors.
They have a new project in North London consisting of two new build luxury houses with basement and swimming pools. The programme will run until Q3 2026.
They are seeking an enthusiastic assistant site manager to join their construction team. As an assistant site manager, the main responsibilities will be assisting the project manager and ensuring health and safety etc all being adhered to.
- To be successful as an assistant site manager, you should demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn how to manage construction project resources and budgets under the supervision of senior site managers.
- Reporting to the Site/Project Manager
- Ensuring that requirements, as specified by the client and senior management, are met.
- Monitoring labour, building material, and equipment budgets and curbing unnecessary expenses.
- Supervising on-site construction work and relaying instructions from senior project managers.
- Procuring materials, labour, and equipment, as well as third-party subcontractors and suppliers.
- Preparing work schedules and sequencing onsite tasks.
- Ensuring that construction industry safety regulations are followed.
- Recent Graduate with degree in Construction Management/Similar OR 1-2 years' experience
- Proficiency in recordkeeping
- Experience in relaying detailed instructions to onsite construction teams.
