A local educational institution in Ramsgate seeks a part-time staff member to maintain site cleanliness, ensure safety, and perform general property maintenance. The role requires good DIY and health & safety knowledge. Candidates should be physically fit, hold a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel between sites. The position offers a pay of £13.16 per hour for 25 hours per week and benefits such as a pension and cycle-to-work scheme.
We are looking to appoint a vibrant and enthusiastic member of staff with the drive and ambition to share our passionate belief that every child and young person should have the opportunity to realise their full potential; to be encouraged to raise their aspirations; and to have the opportunity to learn in an environment that is safe.
You would need to be physically fit, as the post requires moving of furniture.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, cleanliness of the site, heating, health & safety, general day-to-day running of the school and help in preparing for events and exams setting up. You will have good DIY skills, knowledge of Health & Safety, basic IT skills and an understanding of safeguarding. We offer fantastic CPD opportunities as an academy and as a wider multi-academy trust so can provide support if there are any areas that you may need to be upskilled or trained.
The successful candidate is required to hold a valid driver's licence as they would be required to travel to one of our other sites from time‑to‑time and may be required to drive the school minibus (proof of driving licence will be required during the recruitment process). Experience of a similar role is desirable, but training will be provided for someone with the right skills.
If you require any further information, please contact the school by calling 01843 852500 or via email to lee@rha.kent.sch.uk.
