A healthcare provider in Stevenage is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Epilepsy. This role involves coordinating care for children and young adults with epilepsy, working within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nursing, manage clinical caseloads, and offer support and education to patients and their families. We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Epilepsy who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Epilepsy who is passionate about providing outstanding care, improving health outcomes, and reducing health inequalities. You will support, manage and coordinate clinical follow‑up programmes working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will provide an accessible and robust service for all children and young people with epilepsy. Manage the clinical caseload, providing highly specialist nursing input and continuity of care to children and young people with epilepsy, focusing on self‑management, attendance, and the treatment monitoring, as well as preparation and liaison for transition to adult services.
Ensure each patient is assessed, and their care planned, implemented, and evaluated in negotiation with the patient, carers, and other healthcare professionals accurately and ensure this is communicated and documented.
Provide expert nursing support, advice, education, and counselling to patients and families, either virtually, via telephone or face to face. Provide practical and emotional support to patients and families in a tailored and timely manner.
Meet with patients and their families as required to help resolve their concerns, providing written responses to formal complaints as required by the Divisional Manager.
