Job summary
A leading energy company in the UK is seeking an experienced Structured Power Trader to manage trading activities and build relationships with clients. The ideal candidate has a strong background in trading gas and power, along with deep knowledge of the renewable energy sector. This role involves executing trades and conducting market analysis to drive revenue, offering a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative global team.
Qualifications
- Experience in trading Gas, Power, Energy Attribute Certificates, and/or Carbon Emissions Reduction Certificates.
- Strong background in marketing commodity products to corporate clients.
- Ability to analyse market trends and develop commercial strategies.
- Established network in European energy markets.
- Deep knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage positions and maintain market oversight.
- Build and sustain relationships with wholesale customers and corporate clients.
- Lead an Analyst and represent the company at industry events.
- Execute trades to optimise book value and drive revenue.
- Conduct market analysis to support trading teams.

We are partnered on exciting opportunity for an experienced Power Trader within a large European Utility. This role focuses on Trading and Structuring transactions with corporate, wholesale and industrial clients, collaborating with a global team across the UK & Europe.

- Ability to analyse market trends and develop commercial strategies.
- Established network in European energy markets and expertise in the full deal lifecycle.
- Deep knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including regulations and market fundamentals.
