Job summary
A growing business in Northern Ireland is seeking a Junior Buyer to join their purchasing department. The role involves assisting with procurement activities, managing supplier performance, and fostering strong relationships. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a purchasing role, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and MRP/ERP systems. Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Assist with the sourcing and procurement of materials from the GB and EU.
- Maintain accurate PO data and ensure all purchasing activity aligns with production requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions where required.
- Build productive working relationships with suppliers.
- Work closely with Production, Planning and Quality to ensure seamless supply flow.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Junior Buyer will support day-to-day purchasing activity, ensuring that orders are maximised and accurate for timely delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring suppliers deliver on time, to the required quality and at the most competitive cost. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is proactive, commercially aware, and keen to build strong supplier relationships.
